1. Choose the Right Supplier and Installation Company. It is your legal right to select the contractor of your choice. If you sign or approve the risk-assessments then you are legally responsible for ensuring the safety of your work area or project, make sure it meets the safety criteria listed below.
2. Insist on the Right Products. You don’t need to put a price tag on safety. Accordingly, you should demand that the company you sub-contract to, use products that meet the very best of fire and Safety Standards. In particular, specify that you want proof of “Current” certification, and proof of an ongoing certification and a quality programme audited by a recognised Certification Authority. Do not rely on a one off test on an unspecified sample product.
3. Insist on the Right People. Even with the right products, the human element is critical, so determine whether the technicians assigned to your job or project are industry-certified. 4. Ask about the Safe and Environmental Impact on the Disposal of Sheeting. Due to ignorance or questionable ethics, some companies will say you can just land fill the discarded sheeting. Following acceptance and handover to your representative on site, our installation is guaranteed for a period of 6 months from date of handover against any snow loading and wind force during the guarantee period of up to gale force 9. In addition our products are guaranteed for the life of the product against fire and ignition.
